The company uses its full expertise to deliver solutions that enhance its clients’ quality of life and financial success.

Taitokaari Oy’s founder, Hannu Koivuniemi, has worked on demanding real estate projects since the 1970s, both in Finland and abroad, mainly in the United States. Although Taitokaari has Tamperean roots, its business operations focus on the Pirkanmaa region and the Helsinki metropolitan area. Hannu Koivuniemi’s work at Taitokaari is carried on by his son, Jani.

Taitokaari was established in 1993, and its annual total revenue is approximately 15–20 million euros. The company employs about 20 people. Taitokaari’s total balance sheet is 40 million euros, of which 28 million euros is equity.

Taitokaari received the Good Construction Award in 2006. The company also holds the “Suomen Vahvimmat” (Strongest in Finland) and Asiakastieto Rating Alfa classifications.

Taitokaari’s core expertise lies in managing complex and demanding real estate development projects and increasing property value through its own know‑how. Approximately 80 percent of its business consists of residential projects, with the remaining one‑fifth coming from commercial properties.

Typical residential projects start from land acquisition and zoning, with a total duration of around ten years. Examples of large residential projects include the seven housing companies and 33 detached houses built in Espoo’s Saunaniemi, as well as the renovation of office buildings on Helsinki’s Bulevardi into luxury apartments.

Among commercial projects, one of the most significant is the underground Töölönlahti parking facility in Helsinki, offering 800 parking spaces and completed in autumn 2018.

The Koivuniemi family has chosen to retain ownership of Taitokaari, but TK Property Management Oy, founded in 2010, has offered partners and investors the opportunity to participate in the company’s real estate development projects through investment fund structures. The company’s first 50‑million‑euro residential fund renovated and sold the apartments in the Bulevardi 12 property in central Helsinki.

Most of Taitokaari’s completed developments are sold, but the company also maintains its own portfolio of residential and commercial properties for rental purposes. Key companies in the Taitokaari Group include TK Property Management Oy, Taitokaari Vuokra‑asunnot Oy, and Rakennuskaari Oy.

Taitokaari – over 40 years of experience in demanding real estate projects Real estate is Taitokaari’s profession.
